#3U 1983 Kawai upright Model KL-901 52" tall 60" wide 25" deep Stunning polished rosewood cabinet with matching bench |
Largely
the same as Kawai's famous US-50 model (shown further
down in the gallery), Kawai gave this piano a different
model number because of its stunning and rare rosewood
cabinet and the upgraded internal design, such as
individual agraffes. Confused? Don't be. Just think of it
as a rosewood US-50. Dozens of piano teachers have sent
scores of students to our shop specifically to buy the
US-50, and its cousins like the KL-901. This kind of
upright design, sometime called "super
uprights", has extra girth, extra power, and a large
oversized, grand piano-style music rack, making them
